Nicknames are not supposed to be used to imply something negative but to be used for humor. Usually when you go to a store to buy something, the person who stands behind the counter has to do something funny with your purchase. Well, you could try to make your own rules for nicknames, but we’re only human. The way we all do it is we go by their given name.
